Choco Loco

This is the first track of my new series.

The production process:

1. I start with a rather dense percussive beat that I only modulate by frequency filtering to separate the track into different parts (one could say verse, chorus, etc.)
2. I come up with a bassline. The equalizer filters out every frequency above 150 Hz and boosts that range by 5 dB.
3. I jam to the track with my guitar, using a clean sound with prominent reverb and an overdrive for the chords in the background. 

I am trying to keep the whole process as 'improvisational' and 'jam-like' as possible as the general framework is so rigid and unflexible already, concerning the repetitive beat and the instrumentaion.

It is that contrast that I find especially interesting to work with.
