Dukes

I love the punchiness of this track. The recording process for this one could be labeled as 'back to the roots'. I tried to move away from that guitar sound characteristics heard in 'The Highest Wave EP', but ended up using it again because it just feels and sounds so right to me.
The drum beat is kept extremely simple, Kick - Hihat - Snare - Hihat - repeat. I like the 'percussive freedom' that is offered by this kind of beat: I can 'bend' the rhythm as I go with my guitar/bass.
